ADA-ES Testifies at Senate Subcommittee Hearing on Coal: A Clean Future

Posted on: Friday, 27 April 2007, 09:00 CDT

ADA-ES, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADES) today announced that its Director of Clean Coal Technology, Dr. Nina French, presented testimony at a Senate Subcommittee Hearing on Coal: A Clean Future on April 26.

The focus of the hearing was the utility of tax incentives in encouraging the development of technology for clean coal. ADA-ES' testimony discussed the importance of using R&D funding and tax incentives as a catalyst to stimulate the development of cost effective technology to control emissions from coal-fired power plants and the role these will play in helping the power industry address control of carbon dioxide.

ADA-ES' oral and written testimony was based on its experience in developing the mercury control market with support from government R&D funding. ADA-ES also addressed the Section 45 Tax Credit, which motivated the Company to develop a Refined Coal product. This product is produced from chemically modifying coal characteristics resulting in reduced emissions. ADA-ES has recently recommended an amendment to this rule to clarify pricing issues and simplify enforcement.

The complete written testimony submitted by ADA-ES is available on the Company's web site at www.adaes.com.
