Airliner Makes Emergency Landing in Vladivostok

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) – A Tupolev Tu-154 airliner of Vladivostok-Avia airlines on a flight from Vladivostok to Niigata in Japan had to return to Vladivostok Sunday over technical problems.
“After takeoff at 7:57 a.m. Moscow time the right undercarriage leg did not retract. The pilot decided to burn fuel and return to Vladivostok airport,” Interfax was told at the Russian Aviation Agency.
At 10:15 a.m. Moscow time the plane made a successful landing. None of the 94 passengers or crewmembers was hurt.
The causes for the incident are being studied.
