MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) – Russia’s Atomstroyexport has begun another phase of pre-commissioning work at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.

A 3.2-megawatt diesel power plant was successfully tested on April 30, the company said. It will supply electricity to the Bushehr NPP unit, the company said.

“The pre-commissioning work is continuous, although Iranian payments are far from being full,” a source at the company press service told Interfax.

The day of another round of Russian-Iranian negotiations concerning the Bushehr project has not been set, although it was preliminary scheduled for this May in Tehran, the source said.

Back on April 22 the sides signed a Moscow protocol, which pledged stable financing of the Bushehr project.
