WHAT: The City of Palmdale, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and United Airlines will host a press conference and community open house at LA/Palmdale Regional Airport (PMD) to showcase the newly remodeled passenger terminal and a United Express regional jet. WHO: Jim Ledford, City of Palmdale Mayor Bill Rosendahl, Los Angeles City Councilmember and Chair of the Southern California Regional Airport Authority Valeria C. Velasco, Vice President, Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners Bill Kramer, Managing Director, United Airlines Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners WHEN: Tuesday, May 8 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. WHERE: LA/PALMDALE REGIONAL AIRPORT 41000 N. 20th Street East Palmdale, CA 93550 VISUALS: 1. Palmdale Mayor Jim Ledford will welcome arriving United Express flight carrying members of the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, Los Angeles City officials and United Airlines representatives. 2. Refurbished airport terminal 3. Tour of the aircraft interior MEDIA: Due to airfield security restrictions all media MUST check-in and wear special identification tags while on the tarmac area.
