Welwind Energy International Corp. Announces Turbine Installation to Begin

SAN DIEGO, May 8, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Welwind Energy International Corp. (OTCBB:WWEI) (the "Company"), a pioneer in alternative energy in the Asian market, announces a corporate update on the Zhanjiang turbine installation.
Shannon de Delley, Director of Welwind Energy International, is currently in Zhanjiang overseeing the installation of the company's test turbine with the company's construction team. All preconstruction work is complete and installation will begin May 10 and is anticipated to be complete by May 12. From May 13-20 the turbine will be connected and testing will begin.
A nearby meteorological tower is instrumented with the suitable sensors to provide an accurate compilation of atmospheric conditions during the testing period.
Data will be collected and analyzed to ensure the turbine is operating in a normal, satisfactory manner. The data will be collected and processed in accordance with strict industry standard procedures.
Power performance testing will also follow strict guidelines and once the test period has been completed, test data of the turbine will be analyzed and assessed. Further steps may include design refinement, product certification, or further testing.
In conjunction with the success of the turbine, a commercialization plan outlining the steps required to engage in a PPA will be implemented. Directors and project managers will be onsite until the installation, connection and testing is complete.
