MOU Signed Between Port of Houston and Port of Galveston

The ultimate goal is to benefit the region's economy and create jobs. The joint agreement stipulates that finance and development of the facility will not begin until after 2015, when the PHA's Bayport Container Terminal is expected to be fully built out.
