MCLEAN, Va., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Leaders of the mobile satellite world will be meeting at the Fourth Mobile Satellite Users Association International Conference and Exhibition, May 21-23, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Sponsored by the Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA), the conference is returning after a five-year hiatus. MSUA-4 is the only conference dedicated to the mobile satellite industry, and will be held at the Pier 5 Hotel on Baltimore's Inner Harbor, May 21-23, 2007.
"We will have high-level representation from all the major mobile satellite players, including Inmarsat, TerreStar, ICO Global Communications, Iridium, Globalstar and Mobile Satellite Ventures. Executives from these companies will be on hand to discuss their plans, listen to their customers, and describe the exciting opportunities that are either already available or coming soon," explained Bob Roe, Chairman of the MSUA, and President, Stratos Government Services, Inc. "This conference gives mobile satellite users, particularly government users, the opportunity to see and hear directly from service providers about the range of advanced voice and data services available, both now and in the near future. MSUA-4 has attracted major providers, including those offering voice and data, and data-only, in a single location. It's also a great opportunity for the industry to hear directly from mobile satellite end-users what their requirements are in order to build responsive solutions."
Tim Farrar, MSUA President, noted that "The workshop on Ancillary Terrestrial Component (ATC) on May 21 is the first workshop to offer an in- depth look at this exciting new technology and how it will impact the mobile satellite industry." He continued, "On May 22, MSUA-4 will feature existing and future mobile satellite service (MSS) providers, detailing their plans for new and enhanced services, while on May 23 the conference will hear from end- users of MSS, describing their requirements and needs for the future."
Attendees can register on-line for either the workshop or the conference at http://www.msua.org/msua4 and admission is free of charge for government employees. Key speakers include Robert Brumley, President and CEO of TerreStar; Craig Jorgens, President of ICO; John Mattingley, President, Satellite Services of MSV; Greg Ewert, Executive Vice President of Iridium; and Leo Mondale, Vice President of Inmarsat.
