PENNINGTON, N.J., May 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp. (OTCBB:WWAT), developer and marketer of proprietary high-power solar systems, today announced that it will participate in The Blue Salon, a two-day symposium devoted to the state of the world's waters. Scheduled for June 16 & 17, 2007, the Blue Salon will take place at the House of Sweden in Washington, DC, hosted by Mr. Gunnar Lund, the Ambassador of Sweden. Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman & CEO, and Anand Rangarajan, Executive Vice President, will present to the conference on the company's work in the area of solar-powered water solutions and then participate in sessions designed to discuss new technologies that may answer the world's current and future water problems.
"This is a unique opportunity to present WorldWater's capabilities in addressing the critical water supply issues facing humanity," stated Quentin T. Kelly, Chairman and CEO. "The need for locating and distributing clean sources of water is rapidly requiring new, innovative solutions -- particularly given the impact of climate change on the world's oceans and other bodies of water. Our high-powered energy pumps and patented solar systems have already been successful in bringing water on a sustainable basis to individuals in some of the most remote places on earth. We look forward to playing a role in this very important symposium."
About The Blue Salon
With one day dedicated to fresh and salt water each, The Blue Salon will bring together some of the world's leading water researchers and technology innovators as well as a prestigious intersection of visionaries, diplomatic corps, policy makers, and artists with the goal of exchanging ideas and provoking thought into action. Each day will begin with panels laying out the critical issues, followed by afternoon sessions focusing on solutions, including breakout sessions where symposium participants can discuss potential applications of information learned and shared.
