Troopers Ask for Help in Locating 2 Fugitives
By Anchorage Daily News, Alaska
May 15–STATE — Alaska State Troopers are asking for the public’s help in finding two fugitives on the run from the Fairbanks area who are accused of killing a man in January.
Troopers believe Curtis Johnson, 22, and Garry Lawrence, 25, are trying to flee the state on a fishing vessel around or somewhere between Kodiak and Seward.
A Fairbanks grand jury indicted Johnson and Lawrence on May 3 for murder in the slaying of Brandon L. Steward.
The men are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about where they might be is asked to call the Alaska State Troopers, a local police department or Crime Stoppers.
