New Air Service on Flyglobespan Launching May 27 and 29 to Connect New York and Boston Airports to Western Ireland

IRELAND WEST AIRPORT KNOCK, Ireland, May 25 /PRNewswire/ — Low-cost carrier Flyglobespan will launch the first-ever nonstop scheduled air service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport to Ireland West Airport Knock on May 27 and May 29, respectively. These landmark transatlantic flights mark the first time guests from these U.S. destinations will be able travel direct on scheduled flights to this award-winning airport, significantly easing the ability to experience the historic and picturesque Western region of Ireland.

Flyglobespan, the award-winning scheduled low-cost carrier based in Scotland and one of the largest airlines in the UK, will operate three flights weekly from JFK and two flights weekly from Logan, offering guests the option of Economy service and Economy – Premium Service Upgrade. Service from JFK will also offer Business service. These flights will be available through October 2007, and rates begin at $259 one way, exclusive of tax.

Prior to the availability of direct service into Ireland West Airport Knock, travelers from the U.S. flew into Dublin and Shannon airports, and often missed the opportunity to explore the sites and towns of Western and Northwestern Ireland. The launch of the new direct air service to Ireland West Airport Knock will bring up to 35,000 visitors to experience these dramatic and historic regions. Visitors will have greater accessibility to see renowned destinations and attractions such as Galway, the Hills of Donegal, Sligo Yeats Country, Lovely Leitrim, Connemara and Ashford Castle.

Flights from JFK International Airport will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and flights from Logan International Airport will depart on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8:45 p.m.
