U.S. Dollar Down, Gold Up

LONDON – The U.S. dollar fell against most major currencies in European trading Monday morning. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.3462, up from $1.3443 late Friday.
Other dollar rates:
– 121.97 Japanese yen, down from 122.06
– 1.2264 Swiss franc, down from 1.2303
– 1.0555 Canadian dollar, down from 1.0618
The British pound traded at $1.9861, up from $1.9821.
Gold traded in London at $670.75, up from $666.10 late Thursday.
In Zurich, gold traded at $668.85, up from $666.10.
Gold rose $7.60 in Hong Kong to $669.85.
Silver opened in London at $13.65, up from $13.57.
