Dispatchers for Republic Airways’ Subsidiaries Ratify 5-Year Labor Agreement
Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ:RJET), announced today that dispatchers for its subsidiary operating companies, Chautauqua Airlines, Shuttle America and Republic Airlines, represented by the Transport Workers Union (TWU), have ratified a new five year labor agreement. The agreement covers the airlines’ more than 60 dispatchers and will be in effect through May 31, 2012.
Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America. The airlines offer scheduled passenger service on over 1,100 flights daily to 114 cities in 36 states, Canada, Jamaica and the Bahamas through airline services agreements with six U.S. airlines. All of the airlines’ flights are operated under their airline partner brand, such as AmericanConnection, Delta Connection, United Express, US Airways Express, Continental Express and Frontier Airlines. The airlines currently employ approximately 4,100 aviation professionals and operate 201 regional jets.
