Energy Solutions International, Inc., the Houston-based leading global supplier of oil and gas pipeline management software, announced that it has recently deployed a suite of applications for the Dolphin Gas Project, one of the largest energy projects ever undertaken in the Middle East.
Dolphin Energy Limited selected the EnergySolutions applications to assist with pipeline management, including performance, transaction management and natural gas delivery.
"The Dolphin Gas Project is a tremendous undertaking that will stimulate industrial and business investment throughout the Southern Gulf region," said Dr. Jo Webber, chief executive officer of EnergySolutions. "EnergySolutions is proud to include Dolphin in its growing list of global customers."
The Dolphin Gas Project involves extracting and processing natural gas from one of the world's largest non-associated gas reservoirs offshore Qatar, and transporting it over 370 kilometers of subsea pipeline to the United Arab Emirates for distribution to customers in the Southern Gulf region.
Dolphin has deployed three EnergySolutions' applications:
PipelineManager(R) -- the leading software solution for pipeline management and optimization, from leak detection and location to inventory and capacity management
PipelineTransporter(R) for Gas -- a nominating and scheduling application integrating information from shippers, partners and others
TransactionManager(R) for Pipelines -- a commercial application that improves the collection, analysis, tracking and reporting associated with purchase and sale transactions
