J.D. Power and Associates to Release Results of 2007 North America Airline Satisfaction Study on June 19

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- J.D. Power and Associates will release the results of its 2007 North America Airline Satisfaction Study on Tuesday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. E.T./7:30 a.m. P.T.

The 2007 J.D. Power and Associates North America Airline Satisfaction Study(SM) measures customer satisfaction of both business and leisure travelers with major North American carriers that earn at least $1 billion annually in passenger revenue based on department of transportation statistics, in two segments: traditional and low-cost carriers.

Seven factors are examined to determine overall customer satisfaction with airlines within these segments: check-in; in-flight services; boarding/deplaning/baggage; aircraft; cost and fees; flight crew; and flight reservation.

In last year's study, Continental Airlines ranked highest in the traditional network airlines segment, while JetBlue Airways was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among low-cost carriers.
