Bethesda-Based Iridium Satellite LLC Sales Network Spreads

Iridium Satellite LLC, of Bethesda, a supplier of mobile voice, data and Internet services worldwide via satellites, said it signed an agreement with Astrium Services for Astrium to become a value- added reseller of Iridium satellite communication equipment and services. Under the agreement, Astrium is authorized to package Iridium-based satellite voice and data systems for a wide range of international defense and commercial customers. Astrium Services is a subsidiary of EADS Astrium, which is a subsidiary of Dutch-owned EADS, Europe’s largest aerospace company.
