Gathering of Eagles XII Air Show at Lost Nation Airport on July 13-15
CLEVELAND, June 19 /PRNewswire/ — The Gathering of Eagles XII Air Show (“Air Show”) comes to the Willoughby Lost Nation Municipal Airport on the weekend of July 13-15, 2007.
Historic military aircraft scheduled to appear include a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, C-47 Dakota, a rare P-51A Mustang, T-6 SNJ Texan, T- 28 Trojan and L-16 Aeronca. World War II pilots, crew members and reenactors will be on hand. Other attractions include classic automobiles, motorcycles and more.
The Soviet MiG-17 fighter, which was produced in the 1950′s, is more rare than its predecessor, the MiG-15, and only a few of them are still flying in the United States.
Air Show hours are Friday, July 13 from Noon to 7:00 PM; Saturday, July 14 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM; and Sunday, July 15 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Family-friendly admission prices are $10.00 per person for ages 13 and over; $5.00 per person for ages 6 and 12; and FREE for ages 5 and under. Active, Reserve and Guard military personnel who are in uniform are admitted FREE. Air Show parking is FREE.
The Gathering of Eagles XII Air Show benefits the United States Aviation Museum (“USAM”), a 501 (c) (3) aviation education organization. Founded in 1992, the USAM mission is to educate the public, preserve aviation history and promote community involvement. USAM is actively restoring the B-29 Superfortress “Doc,” which upon completion will be one of only two flying B- 29′s in the world.
