Ulster Leaders Visit Scotland
June 20, 2007
NORTHERN Ireland’s new First Minister Ian Paisley and deputy Martin McGuinness will visit Scotland later this year.
The move follows Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond’s trip to Ulster, when the three discussed plans to win extra powers from Westminster.
The leaders signed a pact to work together to boost tourism, education, cultural ties and green energy. They will also join forces with the Welsh Assembly.
Salmond said: “This is a far better way for the devolved administrations to do business.”
