Fire Disrupts Port Ferry Terminal

THERE was considerable disruption to tourist traffic to and from the West Highland port of Mallaig yesterday when an oxyacetylene cylinder caught fire on the pier. Because of the risk of explosion the fire service imposed a 200-yard exclusion zone around the cylinder, and ferries had to be diverted.
