Completion of Talks With Gasunie on Nord Stream Expected in July
MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) – Completion of talks with Dutch firm Gasunie on its participation in the construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline from Russia to the German border are expected in July, according to a statement by Gazprom’s director for external economic relations Stanislav Tsyganov at the company’s annual general meeting.
A television broadcast of the shareholders meeting was cancelled due to the absence due to ill health of Gazprom’s Chairman Alexei Miller.
The marine sections of the pipeline will be built by Gazprom, the 51% shareholder, together with E.ON and BASF, holding 24%. It is intended that Gasunie will get 9% from the German part of the company. Cost of construction of the marine section of the pipeline is estimated at 5 billion euro.
