MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax-PIA) – Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft (RTS: ROSN) may exchange a stake in Daltransgaz for control of the southern part of Russia’s huge Priobskoye oil field, which is being developed by the Gazprom Neft company (RTS: SIBN), said Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov.

Priobskoye lies in the Khanty-Mansi autonomous district in Siberia.

Earlier, Bogdanchikov said Rosneft fully owned a pipeline linking Okha on Russia’s Sakhalin island to the Siberian city of Komsomolsk- on-Amur and held a blocking stake in Daltransgaz, which owns a pipeline running from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Khabarovsk.

“If we are offered terms for exchanging part of those assets for shares of other assets that we are interested in and that are owned by Gazprom [RTS: GAZP], we will, of course, agree easily and eagerly. We are talking of assets that may have a synergetic effect for us, for example the Priobskoye field, which is being developed by Gazprom Neft, or a similar one,” Bogdanchikov told reporters.

The Sibneft-Yugra company is licensed to develop Priobskoye’s southern part.
