Standard & Poor's announced that it has released an updated Factual Stock Report on Cash Minerals Ltd.
Cash Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:CHX) is an emerging energy company focused on uranium exploration. Under an agreement with Mega Uranium Ltd., Cash Minerals has the option to earn a 75% interest in uranium projects located in various parts of the Yukon. These highly prospective projects include numerous iron-oxide copper-gold (IOCG), structurally-controlled hydrothermal uranium targets.
This year, Cash Minerals has earmarked more than $15 million dollars for uranium exploration in the Wernecke Uranium District, located in Canada's Yukon Territory. This program, which includes five drills, focuses on defining a resource at one or more properties in the Wernecke Uranium District. Properties identified for resource definition include Lumina and Igor. In 2006, drilling at the Lumina property intersected 0.030% uranium oxide (U3O8) over 21.71 metres and 0.287% U3O8 over 2.15 metres. Drilling is currently underway at Lumina.
The geology at the Igor property is modeled after the Olympic Dam, the world's largest copper-uranium mine, located in Southern Australia. In 2005, drill results at Igor intersected 74.44 meters of 0.07% U3O8 and 1.88% copper. In 2007, drilling at Igor will test the copper-rich U308 intersection discovered in 2005, as well as a gravimetric anomaly identified during the 2006 exploration season.
Cash Minerals is also exploring and developing coal properties in the southwest Yukon Territory. The company's Division Mountain project has a measured resource of 52.5 million tons of high volatile 'B' bituminous coal. The potential exists to provide this coal as feedstock for a mine-mouth power station. Cash Minerals is also pursuing the development of a coal mine in China that would provide feedstock to an adjacent coal-to-liquids plant, which would utilize the Fischer-Tropsch process to convert coal into clean-burning fuel.
This report will also be accessible on an ongoing basis to the investment community ---- scores of buy-side institutions and sell-side firms that utilize S&P research and information platforms daily. Millions of self-directed investors also have access to the report via their e-brokerage accounts.
