Ventura Transfer Company Provides Safe Storage for Air Gas

Posted on: Thursday, 12 July 2007, 15:14 CDT

LOS ANGELES, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ventura Transfer Company (VTC) (http://www.venturatransfer.com/), a pioneer in the transloading and distribution of bulk products shipped throughout the United States, today announced that it is working with Air Gas in a unique capacity. Air Gas is the largest distributor of industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related equipment to industrial and commercial markets in the United States.

According to the agreement, VTC will provide Air Gas with the safe and secure storage of hazardous material at one of VTC's California facilities. This reduces the need for Air Gas to use expensive road trailers in favor of less expensive, and faster, transportation by rail. The rail cars will be unloaded at the VTC facility and the material stored in a locked, well lit terminal. Air Gas will also be able to transport significantly more material on a more frequent basis by utilizing the storage facility at VTC.
