VIRGIN America, the budget airline partly owned by billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, has won approval from the US aviation authorities to start ticket sales. The company plans to begin flying next month from its San Francisco base. Virgin America said it was fully staffed and had taken delivery of 10 new Airbus 319/320 aircraft.
