Social networking Web site Facebook settled its court fight with a smaller competitor, ConnectU, for $65 million, a law firm revealed accidentally. Last year's cash and stock settlement was intended to be kept confidential but the law firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges, which represented ConnectU, let it slip in a marketing newsletter, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday. The faux pas was first picked up by a legal publication, The Recorder, which also reported that Facebook's valuation is now an estimated $3.7 billion, down from $15 billion in 2007, which affected the value of the settlement. ConnectU founders Divya Narendra, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss had alleged Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, a fellow Harvard University graduate, stole their ideas to create his Internet venture.
