Sci-Fi Hall of Fame Announces Inductees

Seattle's Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame Monday announced its 2006 inductees, including Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas.

Lucas; Dune author, the late Frank Herbert; Hugo Award-winning author Anne McCaffrey and deceased artist Frank Kelly will be inducted during a special ceremony at the museum June 17.

Founded in 1996, the Science Fiction Hall of Fame honors the lives, work and ongoing legacies of science fiction's greatest creators.

Nominees are submitted by Science Fiction Museum members and the inductees are chosen by a panel of award-winning science fiction creators.
