OnCourse Systems for Education Appoints New Chief Information Officer

GIBBSTOWN, N.J., July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- OnCourse Systems for Education, a provider of web-based tools that streamline and automate educational processes for public and private school districts, today announced that Mark Yelcick has joining its team as the company's chief information officer. In this position, Mr. Yelcick is responsible for OnCourse's information technology strategy and operations.

Mr. Yelcick joins OnCourse with more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. His career began in 1987 at Deloitte & Touche where he was a senior accountant responsible for all phases of audit engagements to large and small clients, and for training staff in newly developed audit software. From there he moved on to positions such as director of Finance at Hahnemann University, and founder, CEO and president of Polaris Consulting and Information Technologies, ranked the fifth fastest growing company in the Delaware Valley by the Philadelphia Business Journal's Philadelphia 100 in 1997. Prior to joining OnCourse, Mr. Yelcick was most recently a founder, partner and chief technology officer for Infinity Technology Partners/Altara. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 with a B.S. degree in economics.
