Hawera Qualifies

HAWERA High School has qualified for the national secondary school basketball championships for the first time. The school lost to Hastings Boys’ High School 86-66 in their quarterfinal at the regional tournament in Wanganui yesterday, but bounced back to beat Wanganui City College 76-59.
