BRIEF: Six Candidates in Running for Birmingham Schools Top Job

Aug. 30–Six candidates, including two administrators with the Grosse Pointe Public Schools, are among the educators the Birmingham Board of Education will interview for the superintendent’s job.
The board approved the list of candidates at a meeting Wednesday night. They are:
— Susan Allen, assistant superintendent for curriculum, assessment and technology, Grosse Pointe Public Schools. — Paul DeAngelis, deputy superintendent for educational services, Birmingham Public Schools. — Rodney Green, superintendent, East China Public Schools. — Thomas Harwood, assistant superintendent for human resources and labor relations, Grosse Pointe Public Schools. — David Larson, superintendent, Harbor Springs Schools. — Michael Livovich, superintendent, Hanover Community School Corporation in Indiana.
The board will interview the candidates Sept. 15-16.
