Vivid Vocab to Add An Extra 501 Words to Its Software

June 5, 2012

Vivid Vocab, a cutting-edge new SAT vocabulary learning software published by Test Prep Authority, is set to add an extra 501 words to its software starting mid-July. After collecting rounds of user feedback, Test Prep Authority, run by SAT and ACT guru Anthony-James Green, has decided to make a sweeping round of changes to the entire software, including iPhone and iPad accessibility and a quizzing module. Users already subscribed to the software will receive the updates seamlessly, and new users will receive the software at the same price.

New York, New York (PRWEB) June 05, 2012

Students studying for the SAT have long been daunted by the seemingly overwhelming vocabulary requirements of the exam. In order to attain a high Critical Reading score, students need to attain college-level vocabularies in an extremely short time period, often expected to learn upwards of 1,000 words in less than three months. One new software, produced by Anthony-James Green’s Test Prep Authority, hopes to change both the words studied and the methods used to study them in order to raise student test scores in the shortest amount of time possible.

“When it comes to studying SAT vocabulary words, most students have two big problems,” says Green, founder of Test Prep Authority and widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on ACT and SAT prep. “First, they don’t study the right words. There are thousands upon thousands of words that one could study, but only about 1,000 of them show up on the SAT over and over again. If a student takes the time to learn those high-frequency words, he’s going to get a better score.”

“The second problem is the method which students use to study those words. Most students use traditional vocabulary flashcards, which are pretty much useless when it comes to engaging the brain’s memory systems. We produced Vivid Vocab to address both of these problems at once. We’ve loaded the software with only the most high-frequency words to focus students on the right material, and we’ve added in every possible mnemonic device to enhance student retention and cut the amount of time it takes to learn these words in the first place.”

Test Prep Authority has recently launched a free, multi-step program which students can use to enhance their SAT vocabularies, learn more about their memory systems, and focus on the right words to study. Students and parents interested in the free program can also find a free download of the 1,000 most high-frequency SAT vocab words tested by the exam by visiting this link:

In response to the nation’s falling SAT scores, Green and Test Prep Authority set out to create a product which would engage students’ memory systems using as many pathways as possible. Their software, Vivid Vocab!, aims to enhance associative memory by building the most common SAT words into multi-sensory mnemonic stories which engage every part of students’ memory systems. After receiving feedback from hundreds of users, Test Prep Authority is ready to add even more words to the Vivid Vocab module, and to make additional programming enhancements to add to user experience.

“Creating these mnemonics is an insane amount of work,” says Green of the product development process. “The second we had 500 finished, we wanted to release the software and get it in the hands of students. Most importantly, we wanted to start collecting user feedback as soon as possible so that we could start making enhancements. Now that we’re able to speak with real users on a constant basis, we’re able to make user-driven changes to the software as a whole. In the next 45 days, we’ll be launching a new version of the software with an extra 501 words, bringing our total to 1,0001. Additionally, we’ll be adding iPhone and iPad accessibility, bookmarking, a quizzing module, and much more. It’s a really exciting time for everyone involved with Test Prep Authority.”

Users already using Vivid Vocab! will receive the updates to the software automatically. New users will be able to purchase the software at the same price as per usual via the product’s website:
