Samuel French, the largest eBook library in theatrical publishing, has partnered with EditionGuard to securely deliver eBooks and ePlays to the theatrical community with Adobe DRM.
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 13, 2013
EditionGuard is proud to announce that they have been selected by Samuel French, the largest theatrical eBook and ePlay distributor, to securely deliver eBooks and ePlays to their customers. Founded in 1830, Samuel French has been serving the theatrical community for nearly two centuries. With more than 1,000 titles available digitally, the company has launched a new website offering a wide variety of plays and musicals.
Samuel French integrated EditionGuard´s Adobe DRM service to protect eBooks being sold on their website. “EditionGuard was suggested to us by Inscribe, our eBook distributor for other online retailers. After we learned a little bit more about EditionGuard, we decided that they were one of the only cost-effective ways for us to use Adobe DRM technology to protect eBooks,” explained Katy DiSavino, Marketing Manager for Samuel French. “To acquire an Adobe license on our own would be very costly, but to share so much of the retail price with Amazon is costly too. EditionGuard enabled us to sell our eBooks directly to our customers.”
EditionGuard offers secure eBook protection services to individual authors as well as publishing companies. The EditionGuard eBook protection solution is based on the industry standard Adobe Content Server DRM (digital rights management) and offers eBook publishers a cost-effective, secure method for selling eBooks, without having to share royalties or make a substantial investment for the deployment and management of complicated software and hardware. EditionGuard makes it easy for individual authors and publishers to upload eBooks through a convenient web interface, where the eBooks are then stored in an encrypted data vault using the industry standard Adobe DRM technology.
