More South Florida Homeowners Invested in Repairs, Upgrades in 2013 To Swimming Pool Screen Enclosures and Screened Patio Covers, Venetian Builders Finds
Repairs and Upgrades to existing screen enclosures and patio screens helped Venetian Builders, Inc., Miami, set a record pace for residential services during the first half of 2013, Venetian President Chris Noe said. Structural upgrades are especially important to ensure longevity in an area where severe storms are always a threat, Noe said.

Even low-maintenance aluminum screen enclosures need attention from time to time, says Venetian Builders, Inc., President Chris Noe, and he says homeowners who invest in repairs and upgrades are likely to get longer life from their outdoor living spaces because they do.
“South Florida homeowners are calling us for repairs and upgrades more than they ever have,” Noe says. “Screen repairs and aluminum frame upgrades are big contributors to our record 2013 sales pace.”
In just the first six months of 2013, Venetian surpassed its 2012 total for residential services. The company designs and installs aluminum sunroom additions, patio covers, and screen pool enclosures in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami the Keys and all other South Florida communities.
“This year, the demand for repairs and upgrades is quite steady,” Noe said. Venetian services structures built by other companies or those it has built.
“Our reputation for well-built, properly engineered aluminum additions has prompted quite a few homeowners to call us for repairs and upgrades to existing structures, especially screen pool enclosures,” Noe said.
So far this year, Venetian has seen an active market for repairs and upgrades in Hollywood, Deerfield, Miramar, Pembroke Pines and Cooper City in Broward County; Lake Worth in Palm Beach County; and Pinecrest, Hialeah, Miami, Kendall, Miami Lakes, Coconut Grove, Homestead and Miami Beach in Miami-Dade, Noe said.
“Screens can tear, whether because of wind-thrown objects or rough-housing by the kids,” Noe said. “Repairs can be made to structurally sound patio enclosures and pool screens.”
Older screen rooms may need bolstering against storms because they weren’t built to today’s standards, Noe said.
“We can add “K” braces or cables to improve wind resistance, plus bigger gussets, stronger anchors and stainless steel fasteners – all the things we use in high-wind areas to make new screen rooms more resistant to hurricane-strength winds,” Noe said.
Venetian offers written, detailed, free estimates for solariums, patio roofs and covers, and pool screens, and for repairs and upgrades. No-cost in-home consultations include curbside access to the Venetian mobile showroom.
