William and Mary Undergraduate Business Program One of Elite Eight in U.S.
WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Feb. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The College of William and Mary Undergraduate Business Program is one of the “Elite Eight” public programs in the country, according to the 2008 BusinessWeek Best Undergraduate Business Schools. With an overall ranking of 29th among all business schools in the United States, the Undergraduate program at the Mason School improved its standing among students, a critical factor in the ranking.

The program’s Top 5 placement in student-faculty ratio, 10.53 to 1, may have very well produced the increased satisfaction among students as well as the perfect marks its faculty received in teaching quality.
In the ranking BusinessWeek noted Mason’s high-points included “best-of-class professors, intimate environment, and a broad curriculum.”
In ranking the programs, BusinessWeek surveyed students and recruiters, developed an academic quality score, and calculated letter grades on teaching quality, facilities and services, and job placement. In addition to the teaching quality, BusinessWeek also graded programs on facilities and services (William and Mary received an “A”), and job placement (B).
Graduates of the program, which is part of the Mason School of Business, also placed among the top 10 of public universities for median starting salaries.
