Ventria Receives Friends of Education Award From Geary County School District

JUNCTION CITY, Kan., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Yesterday Ventria Bioscience received the Friends of Education Award from the Geary County School District Board. Ventria received the award for their commitment to providing unique educational opportunities in biotechnology for students and teachers. Ventria has provided students with opportunities for job shadowing and internships in biotechnology. In 2007, Ventria provided a grant for a teacher from Junction City High School to attend the Biotechnology Institute's Teacher-Leader program and provided a guided tour of their bioprocessing facility for the Junction City High School Science Department Faculty.
