An Early Start With MSU Foundation Programme

SEVERAL interesting choices of disciplines await Foundation students at MSU. These disciplines are crafted after taking into account the one year duration that will be spent and the students’ state of preparedness before they begin the first year degree studies.

For those who have keen interest in the Medical Sciences disciplines, the Foundation in Medical Science/Biological Science is a good option to start with. This is an ideal programme for those interested to become a medical practitioner and to continue with the Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) studies. The International Medical School (IMS) located in Bangalore, India awaits those who have successfully completed their Foundation in Biological Science/Health Science course.

This MSU’s offshore medical school focuses specifically on the MBBS programme in collaboration with the MS Ramaiah Medical College, India. IMS promises a 5 1/2 years medical education par excellence in Bangalore, India.

Alternatively, students may progress into Bachelor programme in Biomedicine, Bioinformatics, Food Service & Technology, Medical Science or Pharmacy at MSU through its Faculty of Health & Life Sciences (FHLS).

Another option is, the Foundation in Information Technology & Engineering which is designed to meet the escalating demand for highly trained and skilled resources in the areas of Information Technology and Engineering. After completing the programme, student may pursue their studies at the Bachelors level through the Faculty of Information Sciences & Engineering (FISE) at MSU.

Whereas for those interested in the legal profession might want to consider the Foundation in Law. Students who have completed this programme will be able to enroll in Law programmes at higher level or pursue their Bachelor in Law & Commerce at MSU.

The Foundation in Business/Accounting is designed in view of the increasing demand for professionals in Business Management and Accounting. Areas of specialization that the students may choose at the Bachelor level at MSU include International Business, Accounting, Decision Science, Investment Management, etc. through Faculty of Business Management & Professional Studies (FBMP).

Alternatively, the International Students Exchange Programme (ISEP) Unit at MSU assists students towards enriching their academic pursuits at the international level. Through ISEP students may choose one of over forty (40) universities located in the USA, UK, Australia, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Japan, India, and Indonesia to complete their degrees. The opportunity to study at these universities will further enrich the student’s development and enhances their standings for a better career prospect.
