Study: MBA Holders Earn More
An information technology professional with an MBA degree earns 46 percent more than a counterpart with only a bachelor’s degree, and 37 percent more than one with any other master’s degree, according to the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. A study by the College Park-based school published in this month’s Management Science journal found that, on average, IT professionals with MBAs earn more than $24,000 per year than those with only bachelor’s degrees, and more than $17,000 per year than those with other master’s degrees. (The data are in dollar terms deflated to 1999 figures.)
