Local College Gives Rochester Schools a Facelift
More than 100 students, faculty and staff volunteers from St. John Fisher College will give four schools in the Rochester City School District a makeover, according to a release from the college.
The project started March 29 and continues April 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will renovate East High School, School No. 2, School No. 16 and School No. 39. The work consists of painting classrooms, hallways, a library, garbage cans and more, depending on the individual needs of the school.
The project is sponsored by Students With A Vision (SWAV), the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. School of Education, the Student Government Association, the Resident Student Association and the Office of Community Service as well as the United Way.
