Threat Reported at Mt. Lebanon High
A note found on a rest room wall today is the third threat discovered at Mt. Lebanon High School this semester, school officials said.
A student reported finding the threat that stated “5-27 everyone dies” in the third-floor south gym rest room. Officials reported it to police, who plan to patrol the school Tuesday, the date alluded to in the threat, said Mt. Lebanon police Chief Tom Ogden.
Investigators don’t believe the threat is credible, but extra police presence will help reassure parents, students and teachers, he said. Principal Ronald P. Davis e-mailed families about the incident this afternoon, writing that he asked staff to be visible and vigilant in reporting suspicious behavior when classes resume Tuesday.
“Usually these kinds of things are just pranks, and someone is having fun at our expense,” Ogden said. “It’s frustrating.”
