PUPILS who've never missed a day of school are to be rewarded.
County Durham schools bosses are making a final call for any students with an outstanding attendance record to step forward.
So far 10 students are on course to achieve a 100% attendance record over their whole secondary or primary school career.
A special celebration in September will see the top attenders get a tour of St James's Park and a presentation dinner with their families.
In the past seven years, the county council has presented awards to Year 11 students who have not missed even half a day throughout their time at secondary school.
For the past few years the awards have been extended to younger children.
Parents or schools who think young people might qualify should contact Catherine Jones on (0191) 383 4551.
