Scholarship Enrollment Due at TCC
Members of the class of 2008 who signed up for Tulsa Community College’s Tulsa Achieves scholarship have until July 1 to enroll in fall classes and submit final documents to officially join the scholarship program.
Before July 1, high school graduates must turn in final high school transcripts and ACT or College Placement Test scores to an enrollment and registration office on any TCC campus, according to www.tulsaworld.com/achieves.
They also must meet with an academic adviser before enrolling, so program director Tim Fernandez encouraged them to visit an adviser and enroll as soon as possible. Appointments are not required.
About 1,000 Tulsa Achieves students have yet to enroll, and it would be impossible for all of them to do so on June 30, he said. After they enroll, they should go back to the enrollment office and pick up their Tulsa Achieves application receipt for proof they are in the scholarship program.
Fernandez also encouraged students to enroll now so TCC can determine which needy students will be eligible to receive money to help pay for textbooks.
