Orange Park Resident Awarded Scholarship to Community College
A Clay County resident who recently received a high school diploma through St. Johns River Community College’s adult education program also received a one-year scholarship to the college.
Each year, the school’s adult education committee selects a student to receive a one-year scholarship and the 2008 winner was Nicolette Rhea Anderson of Orange Park. Anderson was selected based on exam scores and her academic and career planning goals.
The adult education graduation was recently celebrated at St. Johns River Community College. About 47 of the 198 who received their state of Florida high school diplomas participated in the June 20 ceremony held at the Palatka campus.
