Students Honor UW-P Educator
Linda Doser, on the academic staff for the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, recently was honored with the Teacher Educator of the Year Award.
The Teacher Educator of the Year is nominated by the
Student Wisconsin Education Association as an educator who is both active in their Student WEA chapter and who also displays excellent teaching practices in the classroom.
Before coming to UW-P, Doser taught in the Cuba City School District as a kindergarten teacher for nearly 30 years. While she was teaching, Doser received state and national recognition.
Despite all of the awards she has won, Doser said, “Nothing means as much as this, because the students did it.”
Now that she works at UW-P, she serves as a supervisor/ coordinator for pre-student teachers as well as on the interview panel for students applying to the School of Education.
