Special education congress opens in Cuba
HAVANA, July 15 (Xinhua) — The International Congress on Education and Special Pedagogy opened Tuesday in Cuba to discuss the education of disordered children.
The 300 academicians and professors from 10 countries gathered in Havana to coordinate actions to improve the integral attention of children with disorders and exchange expertise on prevention.
The Congress also trains teaching staffs on the proper care of children in learning environment.
The Congress, sponsored by the Latin American Reference Center for Special Education (CELAEE), included plenary sessions, conferences and round tables, said the organizers.
Delegates from 10 Latin American, European and African countries attended the conference.
