Jul. 29–It’s almost time enroll your child for the 2008/2009 school year.
Rush County Schools will be registering students in keeping with the following schedule.
Arlington Elementary
Enrollment Dates –
Thursday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon
Tuesday, Aug. 12, Kindergarten students (only) First Day
Wednesday, Aug. 13, Student First Day Grades 1 through 6 — No kindergarten students
Open House — Kindergarten -Thursday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Grades 1 to 6 p.m.
Mays Elementary
Enrollment Dates –
Thursday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 1 from 8:00 a.m. — noon
Tuesday, Aug. 12, Kindergarten Students (only) First Day
Wednesday, Aug. 13, Student First Day
Grades 1 through 6 — No kindergarten students
Open House — Kindergarten — Thursday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 18 at 5:30. PTO meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Milroy Elementary
Enrollment Dates — Thursday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon
Tuesday, Aug. 12, Kindergarten students (only) First Day
Wednesday, Aug. 13, Student First Day Grades 1-6
Wednesday, Aug. 13, No kindergarten students
Open House — Thursday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. for Kindergarten
Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 6 to 7:30 p.m. for Grades 1 through 6
Rushville Elementary
Enrollment Dates — in Red gym, please use back parking lot, enter through gym doors.
Parents registering children for first time in Rush County Schools must bring child’s birth certificate, current shot records, Social Security records and any current custody papers.
Thursday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon
Tuesday, Aug. 12, Kindergarten students (only) First Day
Wednesday, Aug. 13, Student First Day Grades 1 through 6
Open House — Thursday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. for Kindergarten
Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for Grades 1-6.
Beginning Aug. 13 school will be in session from 8:15 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. for students in grades one through six. Kindergarten students will attend Aug. 12 but not Aug. 13.
All students should arrive at school by 8:05 a.m. whether they come by bus, car or walk.

Book rental
Book Rental Fees for all elementary schools are to be paid during enrollment or a payment plan arranged. Elementary book rental fees are as follows:
Kindergarten $61.93
First Grade $85.67
Second Grade $73.55
Third Grade $74.55
Fourth Grade $71.49
Fifth Grade $74.63
Sixth Grade $75.89
Elementary Lunch Prices — $1.75 daily
The RES cafeteria will serve lunch Aug. 12 for kindergarteners only.
Breakfast at Arlington, Rushville Elementary, Mays, Milroy, Benjamin Rush Middle School, RCHS for $1 daily
Adult lunches — $2.50 daily
Benjamin Rush Middle School
Registration Dates — Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon. First student day is Aug. 13.
Open House — Aug. 27 from 7 to 8 p.m. Chili Supper — Aug. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Lunch Price — $2 daily or $10 per week. Lunch accounts may be paid in advance for a week, month, semester, or school year. Parents will be notified when a student’s lunch account is low. Breakfast is available for $1. Adult lunches are $2.50 daily.
Rushville Consolidated High School
Registration Dates — Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 8 from 8 to 11 a.m.
First student day is Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Open House — Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.
Lunch Price — $2 daily lunches; Adults $2.50; Breakfast $1 daily.
