Utah State Board of Education Approves Scientific Learning Fast ForWord and Reading Assistant Products for Adoption

Scientific Learning Corp. (NASDAQ:SCIL) today announced that the Utah State Board of Education has selected the Fast ForWord(R) and Reading Assistant(TM) family of products as an approved Elementary Language Arts program for Utah schools and districts. The products included in the adoption are: Fast ForWord Language, Fast ForWord Language to Reading, Fast ForWord Reading Prep, Fast ForWord Reading 1-5, and Reading Assistant with Curriculum Levels 1-5.
The Fast ForWord and Reading Assistant family of products was approved as a language arts solution for kindergarten through fifth grade. The adoption went into effect July 1, 2008 for a period of five years. Utah's 40 school districts and 508 elementary schools can purchase the Fast ForWord software and Reading Assistant software with funds designated for state instructional materials.
