S&T Bank Rewards Smart Start(SM) Scholarships to Area Students Who Seek to Further Their Education
INDIANA, Pa., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — S&T Bank , a full-service financial institution with branch locations in 10 Pennsylvania counties, is making a college education more affordable for three area students through the S&T Bank Smart Start(SM) Scholarship Program. Recipients of this year’s scholarships are:

— Jonathan Dumm, a 2008 graduate of Penn Hills Senior High School who will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh this fall.
— Maggie Geist, a 2008 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School who will pursue a degree in political science at Clarion University this fall.
— Nicole Solida, a sophomore at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH who was recently named to the Dean’s List and is majoring in chemistry. Solida is a 2007 graduate of DuBois Area Catholic School.
Each year, the S&T Bank Smart Start(SM) Scholarship Program awards three scholarships of $1,000 each to area students who maintain a Smart Start(SM) Checking Account with S&T Bank. Winners are chosen based on academic achievement and on their responses to an essay questionnaire.
