Old National Accepting Textbook Payments

Parents of children attending most Evansville public schools will be able to pay textbook rental fees at any Old National Bank branch in Vanderburgh County.
The program, approved Monday night by the School Board, will be available for parents of students at most elementary and middle schools, plus North and Reitz high schools.
Those parents may pay in person at Old National branches, or they can mail checks or money orders to Old National Bank, P.O. Box 267, Evansville, IN 47702-0267.
Payments made through Old National must be accompanied by an invoice stub. Parents also may pay rental fees at their children’s schools.
“Hopefully this program will give parents more payment options and alleviate some of the bottleneck that occurs at the beginning of every school year,” said Margaret Conway, chief financial officer of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp.
Not all schools
The only EVSC schools not participating in the Old National payment option this year are Lincoln Elementary School, which is on an alternate calendar and already has started school, and Bosse, Central and Harrison high schools.
Those schools likely will be part of the program next year, said EVSC Communications Director Marsha Jackson.
