Cerritos College Gets Nearly $200,000 in Grant Monies

NORWALK – Cerritos College has been awarded a nearly $200,000 Career Technical Education Teacher Preparation Pipeline grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

The money will go toward the college’s Career Technical Education Teacher Training Academy (CTE Teacher TRAC), which trains students to teach in the areas of automotive technology, welding and woodworking.

The grant aims to recruit and prepare students to be teachers, and to train faculty to prepare and help students who are pursuing a teaching career.
