Autopsy Lesson for Knife Crime Play

The 12 youngsters from schools across Bradford spent three weeks of their summer holiday and two weeks of the new autumn term developing a piece of theatre based on knife crime, which will be shown in secondary schools, parents, family and friends.Working with police school liaison officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Bradford South division and theatre education company, Twisting Yarn, the pupils have spoken to a senior detective and a coroner for the research through the Alhambra Project.Now in its 13th year, the Alhambra theatre project has delivered crime prevention messages to more than 23,000 Bradford schoolchildren. Twisting Yarn Theatre Company has guided the young people throughout the latest five week project.
