Getting Parents Motivated
KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government will organise motivational classes for parents next year in its efforts to raise the educational standard here.
State Education, Higher Education, Science, Technology and Human Resource Committee chairman Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said the quality of students, teachers and infrastructure in Terengganu was good. The only aspect it lacked was motivation for parents.Ahmad Razif said the state government was talking with experts to formulate a module to increase the awareness of the importance of education among parents.
The first group targeted for the motivational classes will be the hardcore poor, poor and those under the hardcore poverty eradication scheme to ensure their children receive equal education opportunities.
