Imagine Schools at Town Center Dedication Ceremony Celebrates the Arrival of Flagler County's Newest School

Imagine Schools, the largest and fastest growing charter school organization in the nation, will dedicate the first phase of its new 44 classroom, 43,220 square foot K-8 School in Flagler County on Wednesday, November 5th at 8:30 a.m. At a time when funding cuts in education are limiting public educational resources, the non-profit organization built this new $10 million facility at no cost to the taxpayer. The dedication ceremony will take place on campus, in the Town Center development just west of I-95, on the north side of Highway 100, at 775 Town Center Blvd. Palm Coast, FL 32964.
Imagine Schools CEO and Founder Dennis Bakke will dedicate the school, and Flagler School Board Superintendent Bill Delbrugge will welcome Imagine Schools and Principal Lisa O'Grady to the community. Imagine's unique educational environment provides a private school quality education for any student that wishes to attend, and gives the parents of Flagler County another choice. The Flagler School Board was instrumental in bringing this option to families, and the Board continues to work in partnership with Imagine Schools every step of the way.

Posted by Jenny on 12/30/2008, 05:45 Imagine uses it\'s own capital for school buildings and start up costs, but what you fail to explain to the reader is that the building is then leased to the school at an exorbitant amount of money. School improvement loans are paid back to the for-profit corporation at 12%. This is where the tax payers come in. |
